I really love this restaurant. It is good for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. On a normal day they have a menu like most places. My Favorite entry for lunch is on the kids menu; it is their chicken fingers. They are not at all like chicken fingers.
They have the chicken but instead of breading on the outside there is rice crispies. I think it is better than most restaurant’s chicken because it is so unique. My brother, or Mysterious Diner Jr likes the mac and cheese there along with the chicken. Now what I just told you about was only the lunch and dinner portion of the menu there. If you get there on a Sunday morning they will have a buffet. If you ask me it is one of the best in the world. They have the regular breakfast stuff like pancakes, waffles, eggs, or bacon. But then if you are feeling more adventurous they also have stuff like crab claws or salmon.
The last time I was there I had waffles, crab claws, bacon, eggs and for a snack I had these funny little PB&J triangles. One of the best parts of the buffet is the dessert table. They have so many choices like cake or other pastries, but my favorite thing at the table is the chocolate fountain.
| Because it has things to put under it things like strawberries, marshmallows, and pretzel sticks. So if you would like to go to this delectable restaurant go to: TheClubhouse 298 Oakbrook Center, Oak Brook, IL 60523 |

Aurelio’s
Even though pizza is not my favorite this is my favorite Italian place. Most of the time I get a big plate of noodles with cheese. BUT there best appetizer is the cheese sticks they come in a big basket and are warm and crispy. As I said I get noodles most of the time but they also have great pizza there too and their food is really amazing. They have indoor and outdoor seating. And they also deliver pizza witch is what we did at my party and they got all 12 there piping hot right on time. And they even made 25 hungry nine and ten year old boys happy. Also at the end of dinner there kids will get a sucker. I give this place five out of five stars.

Yum Kitchen
great french fries |
This is a restaurant like no other. You order at a counter up front so you might think it is fast food but NO after that you get to sit down at these great tables. So first you get these great french fries - hot so you know they haven’t been siting around on the counter waiting for you. Now here is the thing, up front where you order it is hard to choose what you want to eat. Of course they have the old back up plans on the kids menu. BUT they also have great fish so if you want something more interesting they have great salmon (which is one of my favorite fishes) they also have a 4 cheese grilled cheese. So you ate a good diner or lunch so it is time for dessert so you go up to the other counter and look at what they have oh my gosh all this mouth watering food. They have great cupcakes, cookies that are even better then that, oh wait I almost forgot they also have these cookies called ranger cookies that are almost the size of my head! So you eat your yummy treat and you might think it is time to go but if you want to they have a choice of little things like candy beards or bacon scented band aids for later. I give this restaurant five stars out of five stars. I love that place.

Michelangelo’s Deli
“They have good food. And it’s an awesome place because they have a new type of drink. And they have an awesome salami sandwich, and you can also get chips and Popsicles. And, Angelica is an awesome person. And it’s my favorite place.”
But since my brother always eats the same thing you might also want to know that you can get almost any sandwich you can think of and they also have great salads and chips plus smoothies.
An Interview
While I was at the deli I interviewed an employee named Angelica and a mother named Laurie and her son William so when I type MD it means I am talking if the customer is talking I will type in C. So scroll down and see the interview:
MD: Do you like the service here?
C: Yes they are friendly, nice, and they make suggestions
MD: Do you like the food here?
C: Yes The food is great I like the ham or turkey and the best on the kid’s menu is the grilled cheese.
MD: What is your favorite meal here

MD: In total for every thing here in a 1 to 20 scale what would you give this place?
C: 18
Interview #2
"mysterious diner junior" with Angelica |

UPDATE: Urban Grille - Three Cheers

Wildwood
This
is one of my all time favorite restaurants hands down any where in the
world. OK, there are two times when this restaurant is the best. First
Sunday brunch and second is dinner any time for any reason. So let’s
start with how great brunch is. Ok, so the brunch was a for sure family
thing. For your main course you can get pancakes and other breakfast
stuff. Often I get the blueberry pancakes. They are kind of big and you
get two of them. Now before you order breakfast you get beignets. In
case you don’t know what they are they are like doughnuts covered in
powdered sugar. P.S. they also have great eggs. Now let’s talk about
dinner. For dinner there it is MAINLY fishes and other meats. Most of
the time I get chicken. Often of the time the chicken comes with mashed
potatoes. Now it is time for dessert they have good cake and ice cream
that is even better. I love this restaurant and I give it five out of
five stars!!!!!!!!
If you want to eat at this great restaurant drive, walk, and even fly to ...

Nosh
This
is one of the best breakfast places I have ever been to! It is only
open for breakfast and lunch. OK so when you get there you get to chose
if you want to eat indoors or outdoors. Most of the time when the
weather is nice my family and I sit outside. Now it is time to order
drinks. Milk is always a good idea BUT they do squeeze their own orange
juice and lemonade right on the spot so it is fresh every time. BUT NOW
WE HAVE TO CHOSE WHAT TO EAT!!!!!!! Well I guess it is not as hard as I
made it sound but it is still hard. Most of the time I order off the
kid’s menu and get the chocolate chip pancakes but for lunch they also
have good stuff like PB and J (P.S If you ask someone for caramel for
your pancakes chances are you will get some). But they also have some
stuff that your mom and dad would like. So in the end I give this place
SIX OUT OF FIVE STARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you want to eat at this great

Egg Harbor
This is one of my favorite restaurants when it comes to breakfast. It is close, it has good food, and it has good help. So because it is mainly a breakfast place the commonly found food here is pancakes, french toast, and eggs. But what is my favorite thing and it is still off the kid’s menu is The Breakfast of Champions which has waffles, eggs, bacon, and fruit. It is very good for you. My second favorite thing there is rainbow pancakes. Another cool thing about Egg Harbor is the fact that they have little pictures and nick-knacks everywhere. And what I think is very interesting is it is in a very old part of Geneva so the stuff around the place is cool to. And in the morning you don’t have dessert most of the time so they make up with that with a little mint. I give this place five out of five stars. If you want to go this great place go to :

COOPER'S HAWK
Free Kids Dessert |
This
is a great place it is a long drive to get there from my house but
every moment of the drive is worth it. When you get there sit down and
order the best bread in the world I could live on it! Next you will end
up making what might be the hardest chose of your life time......WHAT TO
ORDER This is so hard so on there menu they have salads and meat but
the seafood part on there menu is small
BUT don’t worry seafood lovers most of the time the special is fish. So
you have your great dinner and now it is time for desert every kid
there gets a free chocolate covered strawberry with a kids meal BUT my
favorite thing is the berry crisp. It is the largest
strawberries, raspberries, and blackberries in a bowl with a scoop of ice
cream and a crumbled raisin cookie. If you want to eat there drive
to...........................

Urban Grill
The Mysterious Diner outside Urban Grille |
OK this is one of my all time favorite restaurants and I have been to
many different places. It is a very good place if you are bringing your family. It is a good place for a date too. Again you kids should come. Every one, they never stop having great and friendly help. The menu varies from stuff for younger people that you find most places like mac and cheese and chicken fingers to the stuff on the grown up menu like mahi mahi (fish) and great salads.
The Mahi Mahi |
If you have a big group they have a room down stairs. If you bring kids they will give them a menu to color and some crayons. They also have some cheese plates if you ask them. Another thing is the restaurant is in great shape. A great thing for you kids is in the waiting space they have a table - not any old table it is a heat sensitive table so when you touch it it changes colors. To make it even better the place it is very new and cool in a modern way. My favorite thing on the kids menu is chicken fingers. My favorite thing which is a special or chef’s pick sort of thing is grilled salmon (there is really good fish there) and if we are talking about great food they have realy good KID’S steak.so it is a great place. Now time for dessert and my mouth is watering, so for kids who are reading this you might like the ice cream sunday which you can have with a choice of whipped cream, sprinkles, and best of all chocolate all right on top of ice cream. If you don’t want that they have other good stuff. I give this place five out of five stars.

Preservation Bread and Wine, Geneva, IL
The Mysterious Diner outside Preservation Bread and Wine |
I
so don’t know were to get started oh yes the CHEESE they have the
world’s best cheese plates. My favorite is the European cheese plate. It
is the best because oh the hard, the soft, the creamy!!!!!!! Now here
is the real shocker you kids should come and eat. The people who work
there are never mad if kids come. Now just because I say that doesn’t
mean it is really only for kids. It is a great family place. But that
doesn’t mean it isn’t a good place to have a date for your parents. And
to make this place even better everyone who works there is very nice.
The menu varies from common things like grilled cheese (with 3 cheeses )
which is great to less common things like the Spanish charcuterie plate
which is also great and one of my little brother’s (or the mystery
dinner jr.’s) favorite dishes. The price tags that come with the food
are also good so your parents will be happy. And to make everything even
better everything is made at that same place - no having a truck bring
in YOUR MEAL!!!! It is made in the kitchen in that building. Another
good thing is the meal is hot; none of the stuff where YOUR meal that
YOU are going to eat has been waiting on the counter waiting for someone
to order it and you get it in three seconds and it is not fresh and you
have to ask someone to heat it up and it comes back only lukewarm. I
can’t stand that but there is none of that at this restaurant.I give it
five out of five stars.

The Mysterious Diner's Bio
If
this is your first time reading this blog hi I am The Mysterious Diner. I
am really a kid who is nine years old who eats at restaurants and gives a
report on them. I am like most nine year olds, I am in third grade and
live a good life I even do a martial art. But to let you in on
something, if I give a good or great report on some restaurant they
DIDN’T PAY ME those are my ideas not their ideas. And another thing is I
typed theses reports I didn’t just tell mom or dad what to type and
they did what I said. I typed this with my own fingers. And a few more
things I will have pictures and a travel part in case you live outside
of Illinois. So have fun on my blog. I will try to post at least once
every two weeks.
P.S. if you are a grown up reading this please let your kid read it too.
