Urban Grill

The Mysterious Diner outside Urban Grille

OK this is one of my all time favorite restaurants and I have been to
many different places.  It is a very good place if you are bringing your family.  It is a good place for a date too. Again you kids should come. Every one, they never stop having great and friendly help. The menu varies from stuff for younger people that you find most places like mac and cheese and chicken fingers to the stuff on the grown up menu like mahi mahi (fish) and great salads.
The Mahi Mahi
If you have a big group they have a room down stairs. If you bring kids they will give them a menu to color and some crayons. They also have some cheese plates if you ask them. Another thing is the restaurant is in great shape.  A great thing for you kids is in the waiting space they have a table - not any old table it is a heat sensitive table so when you touch it it changes colors. To make it even better the place it is very new and cool in a modern way.  My favorite thing on the kids menu is chicken fingers.  My favorite thing which is a special or chef’s pick sort of thing is grilled salmon (there is really good fish there) and if we are talking about great food they have realy good KID’S steak.so it is a great place. Now time for dessert and my mouth is watering, so for kids who are reading this you might like the ice cream sunday which you can have with a choice of whipped cream, sprinkles, and best of all chocolate all right on top of ice cream. If you don’t want that they have other good stuff. I give this place five out of five stars.

Preservation Bread and Wine, Geneva, IL

The Mysterious Diner outside Preservation Bread and Wine
I so don’t know were to get started oh yes the CHEESE they have the world’s best cheese plates. My favorite is the European cheese plate. It is the best because oh the hard, the soft, the creamy!!!!!!! Now here is the real shocker you kids should come and eat. The people who work there are never mad if kids come. Now just because I say that doesn’t mean it is really only for kids. It is a great family place. But that doesn’t mean it isn’t a good place to have a date for your parents. And to make this place even better everyone who works there is very nice. The menu varies from common things like grilled cheese (with 3 cheeses ) which is great to less common things like the Spanish charcuterie plate which is also great and one of my little brother’s (or the mystery dinner jr.’s) favorite dishes. The price tags that come with the food are also good so your parents will be happy. And to make everything even better everything is made at that same place - no having a truck bring in YOUR MEAL!!!!  It is made in the kitchen in that building. Another good thing is the meal is hot; none of the stuff where YOUR meal that YOU are going to eat has been waiting on the counter waiting for someone to order it and you get it in three seconds and it is not fresh and you have to ask someone to heat it up and it comes back only lukewarm. I can’t stand that but there is none of that at this restaurant.I give it five out of five stars.

The Mysterious Diner's Bio

If this is your first time reading this blog hi I am The Mysterious Diner. I am really a kid who is nine years old who eats at restaurants and gives a report on them. I am like most nine year olds, I am in third grade and live a good life I even do a martial art. But to let you in on something, if I give a good or great report on some restaurant they DIDN’T PAY ME those are my ideas not their ideas. And another thing is I typed theses reports I didn’t just tell mom or dad what to type and they did what I said. I typed this with my own fingers. And a few more things I will have pictures and a travel part in case you live outside of Illinois. So have fun on my blog. I will try to post at least once every two weeks.
P.S. if you are a grown up reading this please let your kid read it too.
